Essential storage is always on because the site needs it. Everything else stays off until you switch it on, and you can change your mind at any time from the Cookie settings link at the bottom of every page.

About

We only get paid when our clients do.

That single constraint shapes everything else about how Owlyn Tech works.

Most small businesses that need a website cannot safely afford one, and most that can afford one are not sure it will work.

The conventional arrangement asks the person with the least money to take all of the risk. You pay for a build before anything has been proven, and the agency is paid whether the site earns you a single order or none at all. If it does not work, that is your loss alone.

We thought that was backwards. So Owlyn Tech builds the site, hosts it, maintains it and improves it at our own cost, and takes a small share of the orders it produces. If it sells, we both do well. If it does not, we have worked for nothing and you have lost nothing.

It is a harder business to run than invoicing upfront. It also means that when we say we think your site will sell, we are putting our own income behind the opinion.

What we do

Websites, online stores and ticketing platforms, built and hosted free, funded by a per-order fee. Plus conventional paid work: custom software, apps, and marketing retainers.

Who we are, formally

Owlyn Tech Limited, a company registered in England and Wales under number 17445397. You can verify that on Companies House in about ten seconds, and we would rather you did.

How we are paid

A published percentage of each completed order, confirmed in writing before launch. No setup fees, no monthly bills, no commissions from anyone else.

How we work

Four rules we hold ourselves to

Written down so you can hold us to them as well.

01

Show the working

Every fee appears against the order that produced it, with the gross, the deduction and your net all visible. If you cannot check a number yourself, we have not finished explaining it.

02

Say no early

We decline projects we do not think will sell. Taking on work we expect to fail would waste months of your time and earn us nothing, so we would rather disappoint you in week one.

03

Publish the uncomfortable answers

What happens if we close. When our model costs more than an agency. Where the free offer stops. These live on the site, not in a sales conversation.

04

Never rely on lock-in

Thirty days notice, a full data export and help moving your domain. If the only thing keeping a client is the difficulty of leaving, the arrangement has already failed.

The part most companies omit

When you should not choose us

If you sell in very high volume and expect to keep doing so for years, a percentage of every order will eventually cost more than paying an agency once. If you need a site that takes no orders at all, the free model cannot apply, and you would pay for the work as you would anywhere. And if you want to own the underlying platform outright, you want a paid custom build, not this.

We would rather tell you that here than three months into a project.
